4140 steel bar is formed using a medium carbon alloy steel. One of the most common alloy grades, 4140 possesses high fatigue strength, abrasion, and impact resistance, as well as increased durability especially in the quench and tempered form. 4140 steel bar is highly used in the automotive, oil patch, and construction industries in the form of axles, shafts, and bolts.
